Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood
Gregor

Last week we finally received notice from the coroner as to their final decision on the cause of Braedwyn's death. The cause that will be listed on his death certificate will be: Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. The name pretty much says it all. It is an appellation given to show that after performing X number of tests and procedures, no cause could be determined for his death...

Onward to Thailand

Just a quick note to update our progress.  We've had our ceremonies in Boston and Hastings, had our English visit, and are leaving for Bangkok tomorrow (Tuesday the 30th of October) and arriving Halloween morning. A number of bad connections, outdated browsers and the like have conspired to keep us from updating the site in the last 2 weeks. As soon as we know what we are going to do in Bangkok, I will add an update...

Massachusetts: Latest Update
Gregor

Things have been back and forth and I changed times to accomodate a reception venue that now doesn't seem like a particularly good choice. So, we are going back to the original time 3pm on Sunday the 7th of October with a reception to follow. The reception will be held at our old house (upstairs) at 67 Spring Park Ave, Jamaica Plain 02130.

Okay, I know people are wondering what is going on in Mass...

CA Ceremony
Gregor

Well, we finally got Braedwyn's ashes this afternoon a day late. Last night, Nicole and I set up the site for the ceremony in her Dad's backyard. This was after running around LA looking for certain plants, some found, some not, some substituted. It all holds meaning and there is a logic to it...

East Coast

Okay, we've made some decisions about what we would like to happen when we get back East. Our intention is to go camping in Vermont where we last camped with him for the nights of the 5th and 6th of October (Friday and Saturday night). While there we will do a sweatlodge and ceremony. The space we will be going to is within the Green Mountain National Forest so the camping will be primitive...

California Ceremony
Gregor

After viewing many places and considering what we would like to happen, we've realized that an intersection of reality and our desire is not going to take place in an open space in the Los Angeles area. We are caught between the need for access and a desire for fire as a component of the ceermony. This realization has led us to take a more practical approach to the ceremony in LA. We shall be having a ceremony at 3pm next Wednesday the 26th of September at Nicole's Dad and Babuta's house...

Update: Sept 19
Gregor

My bother Allie drove Nicole and I around Palos Verdes yesterday to look at a number of green spaces as possible locations for Braedwyn's ceremony here in California. Unfortunately, none of the locations really embodied what we both felt was needed.

After another round of internet virtual planning we shall head off this afternoon with Allie once more and look at locations in and around the Santa Monica Mountains (somewhere from Malibu to Beverly Hills)

Our thoughts are that the ceremony will take place next Wednesday afternoon followed by a picnic of sorts. We are also hoping to find a location that may afford the ability to camp that night for those willing and/or able...

September 17th
Gregor

Braedwyn is being brought to the crematorium today, Monday the 17th of September along with his bundle of notes on pineapple leaves written by his Mum and Dad, Uncle Allie, Great Uncle Pat, Granny Goth and Papa Joe, Uncle Roy, Dave Often and Sarah Liversidge; and his magic wand stick. We chose the pineapple leaves because Nicole ate about 3 a week while she was pregnant with Braedwyn in Bangkok. Yum, yum, sapalot.

His cremation will occur sometime during the morning of Thursday the 20th of September in Victorville, CA...
